What We Do and Why It Matters

Interior Painting
Interior painting is where surface preparation and product knowledge intersect most visibly. Wall conditions vary enormously in older East Bay homes, and cutting prep time always shows up in the finished surface. Our interior work includes thorough cleaning, crack and hole repair, proper priming where the substrate requires it, and consistent film application. We back interior projects with a three-year warranty.
Exterior Painting
Exterior painting in the Bay Area has to account for marine layer moisture, direct sun exposure on south-facing surfaces, and temperature cycling that causes substrates to expand and contract. We assess wood, stucco, and composite surfaces individually and select products accordingly. Our five-year exterior warranty reflects confidence in the prep and application process, not just the product.
Cabinet Refinishing and Painting
Cabinet refinishing requires a different technique than wall painting. The finish needs to be hard, smooth, and resistant to the daily contact that kitchen and bathroom cabinets receive. Factory-finish appearance requires proper degreasing, sanding, priming, and the right application method for the product being used. Done correctly, refinished cabinets hold up for years. Done quickly, they chip and peel within months.
Deck Staining and Restoration
Wood decks in the East Bay take significant weather damage over time. Restoration starts with a thorough cleaning and assessment of the wood condition, followed by any needed repairs, then the appropriate stain or sealant product for the specific wood species and exposure conditions. Maintenance staining on a healthy deck is straightforward. Restoration on a neglected deck requires more time and judgment.
Power Washing
Effective power washing is a preparation step, not just a cleaning service. Pressure, nozzle selection, and technique matter for different surface types. Too much pressure on wood can raise grain or cause damage. Too little on concrete or masonry leaves contaminants that affect coating adhesion.
Concrete Staining
Concrete staining transforms functional surfaces into finished ones. The process requires clean, porous concrete and proper application technique to achieve even penetration and consistent color. Acid staining and water-based stains behave differently on different concrete conditions, and product selection should follow surface assessment.
Drywall Repair
Paint does not hide drywall damage. It makes it more visible. Proper drywall repair before painting includes feathering compound correctly, allowing appropriate dry time, and sanding to a smooth surface. We handle repairs as part of our painting projects, which keeps the process consistent and the finish clean.
